WAKE UP AMERICA!

People in the 10th district seem to be asleep at the wheel, based on Early Voting reports, the Special Election in House District 10 seems to have been pushed to the back burner while everyone is worried about a boat or a web site.

We all have our opinions and under the constitution of the United States we are entitled to express them, however the fact is as of today 3 candidates are in a race to represent the 10th district.

On September 12, 2006 one of these candidates will be eliminated from this race and then there will be two.

Republicans and Independents should be looking and asking the two individuals in the House District 10 Special Election where they stand on important issues, not what one candidate thinks about the other. If you want garbage, go to the landfill - if you want someone to represent you the people of the 10th district ask them where they stand on issues - not will you vote a straight party line. I for one would like a representative to vote for my issues because there is no perfect party - there is good and bad in all things, especially a political party.

Remember the Preamble to the Constitution of the United States of America begins with We the people - not we the party.

In case you don't remember or have never seen or heard of the Preamble, here is a refresher course.

"We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

The people who framed this document risked everything and they were people just like you and me. They didn't complain or sue because the coffee was hot, nay they knew the coffee was supposed to be hot, but they gave you the right to do it and they also gave you the right to defend yourself.

Don't let these wise men down, they had faith in "We the people of the United States".

Voting is a privilege and there is no excuse not to exercise that privilege. Call the candidates ask intelligent questions and above all get out and vote.
