Kinston police are searching for women who allegedly stabbed a 39-year-old Kinston man on May 4.
Investigators say Monica Harris, 39, stabbed Michael Waters in the leg while Waters was near a tire store on East Highland Avenue.
Harris is accused of assaulting Waters with a deadly weapon and inflicting serious injury.
Police say Michael Waters flagged down two acquaintances near Tripps Tire on Old Snow Hill Road and East Highland Avenue about 2 a.m. Thursday. Waters asked for a ride to his sister's apartment in St. John's Village on East Highland Avenue.
The men gave him a ride and did not realize Waters had been stabbed until they reached the sister's home.
The friends called emergency services, Kinston Public Safety Cmdr. Greg Thompson said.
Waters was taken to Lenoir Memorial Hospital and later flown to Pitt Memorial Hospital for emergency surgery.
Anyone with information about Harris is asked to call Cmdr. Greg Thompson, 939-3188, or Crime Stoppers, 523-4444. |
