Police search for two suspected sex offenders

Kinston police are asking the community’s help in the search for two men wanted on suspicion of sexual assault.

Robert Lee Arrington, 36, and Anthony Earl Briggs 20, are being sought by police.

Arrington’s last known address is 618 Harvey St., Kinston. He is wanted on suspicion of nine felony charges, including statutory rape, second-degree sexual assault, child abuse/sexual act, indecent liberties with a child, two counts of lewd and lascivious conduct, statutory rape of a 4-year-old child and a 6-year-old child and second-degree rape. He was indicted for the crimes by a grand jury in September.

Briggs is wanted on suspicion of first-degree sexual offense of a 5-year-old child. His last known address is 503 Rhem St., Kinston.

Anyone with information on either of the two men is urged to contact Detective Lolita Brown-Chapman, 939-3189, or Lenoir County Crime Stoppers, 523-4444. Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for the captures.
